"I have a blog, it’s fun and very nourishing for me. I think my blog has had a lot to do with me being noticed. When you do something a little bit extra, people see that and they take it as 'she’s got a little bit of oomph'.
Then one day I was like, okay I guess I gotta do that travel thing, so I went to New York City and started an internship at Harper’s Bazaar, which has been amazing! Being in New York is character building to say the least - even in the last six months I’ve become a lot tougher, which is important. I may have been a bit cushy before.
I know people change their career all the time now but I could go any way at this point. It’s not about 'how can I make millions of dollars' but 'how am I going to do something that’s going to sustain my lifestyle day to day but then also make me feel happy' which stresses me out so much!
What I love most about other people are their imperfections like ‘she’s got this amazing little freckle or a scar by her lip it’s so cool’, but it’s funny because on myself I’m constantly trying to cover those things up when in actual fact that’s not what I think is beautiful in other people, which is crazy to think about."
